Posted by Mr. Foster on Dec 9th 2021

#1. Wash and rinse face with WARM water & Face Wash for two to three minutes.

#2. Immediately apply 3 to 5 drops of Shave Answers Shave Oil to palm of hand.

#3. Apply to the area being shaved. Cover the entire area with Shave Answers Shaving oil.

#4. Shave with a sharp razor. Lightly re-wet areas with water if the razor begins to drag or if you’d like to identify stray hairs.

#5. Shower, wipe area with wet towel if you would like the benefit of a moisturized face or rinse with warm water to completely remove the excess oil.

#6. Splash cold water over the shaved area to close pours and cool down the skin. Do this after the shower if you shave.

#7. Apply two drops for face applications or four drops for leg applications when using Bermotti After Shave with Jojoba. This will lock in moisture and further reduce or completely eliminate dryness or chaffing legs as a result of shaving.

Pro tips:

  • Shaving against the growth of the hair is possible for some people. It's no shave secret that most people shave in the direction of the hair growth to avoid razor irritation on sensitive skin or in areas that are difficult to shave.
  • If you are prone to razor bumps or ingrown hairs, be sure to exfoliate your skin prior to shaving. Do this especially if you haven't shaved for two or more days. Daily shaving exfoliates the skin so you really don't have to exfoliate every day if you shave daily.
  • The most important shaving step is the first step. Washing the area to be shaved is the fastest, least expensive and most productive way to soften hairs prior to shaving. Do it for at least two minutes prior to shaving face legs or any area to be shaved. Three minutes would be better! Personally, I wash for 30 to 45 seconds then rinse with warm water for an additional 2 minutes. Always use WARM and not hot water to wash prior to the shave.
  • Be sure to clean your blade after shaving, rinse with hot water.
  • Using more shave oil than suggested won't produce a better shave but it may make your sink or tub oilier than it should.
  • LASTLY... Using the "White Stuff" like shave lotion, shave cream, shave foam, gel or hard shaving soap is worthless when used in conjunction with a shave oil. It covers the area so you can't see where you're shaving and It does nothing to help better the art of shaving. Regardless of what makers of shave soap, foam, cream or the manufacturers of crazy concoctions claim, they’re selling you soap. We suggest that you use soap to prepare and soften your hairs prior to shaving.
