#1. Wash face with WARM water & mild soap or Face Wash for two minutes.

#2. Immediately apply 3 to 5 drops of Shave Answers Shave Oil to palm of hand.

#3. Apply to the area being shaved. Cover the entire area with oil.

#4. Shave with a sharp razor. Lightly re-wet areas if the razor begins to drag or to simply identify missed hairs.

#5. Shower, wipe area with wet towel or rinse with warm water to remove excess oil.

#6. Splash cold water over the shaved area to close pours and cool down the skin. Do this after the shower if you shave

      then shower

#7. Apply two(face) to four(leg) drops of Bermotti After Shave with Jojoba to lock in moisture and reduce the chance of dryness or chaffing legs.

Pro tips:

  • Shaving against the growth of the hair is possible for some people although most people shave in the direction of the hair growth to avoid razor irritation with sensitive skin or areas that are difficult to shave.
  • If you are prone to razor bumps from shaving, be sure to exfoliate your skin prior to shaving. Especially if you haven't shaved for two or more days. Daily shaving exfoliates the skin so you really don't have to exfoliate every day if you shave daily.
  • The most important shaving step is the first step. Washing the area to be shaved is the fastest, least expensive and most productive way to soften hairs prior to shaving. Do it for at least two minutes prior to the shave. Three minutes would be better! Personally, I wash for 30 to 45 seconds then rinse with warm water for an additional 2 minutes. Always use WARM and not hot water to shave or to rinse off your blade as you shave.
  • Using more oil than suggested won't produce a better shave but it may make your sink or tub more oily than it should.
  • LASTLY... Using the "White Stuff" like shave lotion, cream, foam, gel or hard soap is worthless when used in conjunction with a shave oil. It does nothing to help better your shave. Regardless of what they say, it's just soap in a can or tube. We suggest that you only use soap to prepare and soften your hairs prior to shaving.
